Air defense forces destroyed two AFU drones over Belgorod and Bryansk regions

Air defense forces have destroyed two drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine(AFU) over the territories of Belgorod and Bryansk regions. This was reported in the Telegram-channel of the Russian Defense Ministry on December 5.

"Two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense on duty over the territories of Belgorod and Bryansk regions," the ministry said.

It is specified that attempts of Ukrainian militants to attack Russian territories were suppressed in the period from 20:00 to 21:00 Moscow time.

On the same day, December 5, it was reported that air defense forces eliminated two Ukrainian UAVs over Belgorod and Kursk regions. The UAVs were eliminated between 17:00 and 18:00 Moscow time.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
