Tsunami threat declared in US after magnitude 7.0 earthquake near California

In the United States announced the threat of a tsunami after the earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0, which occurred off the coast of the state of California. This was reported on December 5 by the TV company ABC7 Chicago.

"The U.S. Tsunami Warning Center has issued a warning", - stated in the publication.

It is specified that initially the earthquake was magnitude 6.6, but then the American geological service raised this figure to 7. At the moment, there is no information about casualties and destruction.

Earlier, on December 4, in the area of the state of Telangana in India there was an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3. According to the center, the tremors were recorded at 7:27 local time (4:57 Moscow time) in Mulugu district.
