In Primorsky district, a police officer was injured during the attempt of traffic police officers to stop a Volvo car, which was trying to escape at speed. This was reported by the press service of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region on December 5.

During the incident, the driver of the car hit a police officer of the Primorsky district.

The policeman was hospitalized in the hospital with fractures of the legs.

The press service noted that a criminal case will be initiated on the fact of the incident.

Earlier on December 5, a driver hit a policeman in St. Petersburg, and law enforcers gave chase to the offender.
