Putin instructed Manturov to control the launch of waste processing plants in Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov to keep the construction and launch of waste processing plants under control.
"We just have to keep <...> on control, understand what is happening there, in what terms," the head of state said on December 5 at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects.
In response, Manturov said that two such plants will be launched in the first quarter of 2025, and promised to invite the president to the opening. The head of state also asked the first deputy prime minister to report to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on the progress of work.
Earlier during the same meeting Putin said that in Russia within the framework of the national project "Ecology" eliminated 242 objects of accumulated environmental damage. This number included 157 large landfills. The territory of the objects was reclaimed, which affected the quality of life of more than 20 million people, the head of state noted.
Before that, on November 15, Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov said that in 2024, Russian prosecutors recovered more than 400 billion rubles for damage to nature. Every year they manage to stop up to 300 thousand violations of laws in the environmental sphere, said the head of the department.
