Air defense forces eliminated two Ukrainian UAVs over Belgorod and Kursk regions

Air defense forces have destroyed two drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Belgorod and Kursk regions. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 5.

"Two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed over the territories of Belgorod and Kursk regions by air defense forces on duty," the ministry said in its Telegram channel.

It is specified that the UAVs were eliminated from 17:00 to 18:00 Moscow time.

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry reported the destruction of 16 Ukrainian drones overnight in three regions of Russia: in the Bryansk, Belgorod and Kursk regions.

The armed forces of Ukraine are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
