- Piskarev compared the technology of planning unrest in Georgia with protests in Russia

Chairman of the State Duma Commission for Investigation of Foreign Interference in Russia's Internal Affairs Vasily Piskarev said on Thursday, December 5, that a number of technologies for planning the current unrest in Tbilisi have been identified with those used in the 2019 protests in Moscow.
Piskarev said that "well-known faces from Russia" have been spotted in Georgia, who are linked to American and British non-governmental organizations recognized as undesirable on Russian territory.
"Having carefully studied the events in Tbilisi, the Commission has identified a number of technologies of Western intelligence services that are very familiar to us, used to manipulate people in Moscow in the summer and fall of 2019," the Telegram channel said.
It is specified that the time and place of the protest actions are communicated in advance. In addition, advertising of the platform for the coordination and planning of subsequent protests in social networks, a call for the organization of new riots is carried out.
According to him, the similarity of technologies for organizing protests dispels myths about their spontaneity.
"There is gross interference in the internal affairs of the country," Piskarev added.
Protests have been going on for several days in Georgia over the suspension of European integration talks and the opposition's disagreement with the results of parliamentary elections. The country's Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze made a statement the day before that another attempt to organize a revolution in the country based on the scenario of the Ukrainian Maidan had failed.
Georgian security forces were forced to use tear gas to disperse demonstrators in the center of Tbilisi. On November 30, protesters tried to set fire to the Georgian parliament building and damaged dozens of offices.
Amid these events, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili refused to step down when her term expires at the end of December. In response, Kobakhidze warned that she would be required by law to leave office.
