Russians named the main reasons for loneliness


Men feel lonely more often - 39% of Russians surveyed admitted that they experience this emotional state on a regular basis. Among women, this figure is lower (30%), according to the results of a study by the dating service Mamba, which were reported by Izvestia on December 6. Experts also found out the reasons for the loneliness of Russians.
The majority of respondents noted that this state burdens them - the feeling of loneliness deprives them of energy and negatively affects the quality of life. This was stated by 77% of men and 71% of women.
One of the most popular reasons for loneliness is low self-esteem: 27% of men and 18% of women lack self-confidence. They feel that they are not good enough for a relationship, are not too beautiful, are overweight or earn little money.
Finding a couple is also hindered by inflated requirements - 25% of women said that, candidates do not reach their ideal, so they do not like anyone. Men's list of requirements for a partner is usually more modest - only 5% cannot start a relationship for this reason.
Difficulties with finding a couple also arise in people with a difficult, according to their own assessment, character - 14% of men and 10% of women admitted that they are not easy to get close to the opposite sex for this reason, noted in the results of the study.
In addition, some are hindered by traumatic experiences - 8% of men and 12% of women say that they can not forget their exes, afraid to be burned again and experience pain, or stopped trusting the opposite sex altogether. At the same time, 12% of Russians do not have enough time for a personal life - they go headlong into work and solving household problems, and there is no energy or desire to search for a partner.
Experts also found out that a quarter of men (24%) believe that they do not know how to get acquainted: the lack of such experience prevents them from starting a relationship. Among women, 6% of respondents are afraid to step out of their comfort zone.
At the same time, the majority of the stronger sex (43%) drowns out the feeling of loneliness with work. Communicating with friends helps 37% of respondents. Women consider the most effective communication with friends (43%), the second place is occupied by work (41%), and the third place is occupied by watching movies and TV series (31%).
In addition, 29% of men consider online dating to be one of the best ways to distract themselves from loneliness, and 21% say that flipping through profiles and reading profiles helps to cope with negative emotions. At the same time, 27% of women believe that online dating helps to get through difficult moments, and 28% of women found in it an opportunity to spend time with interesting communication. At the same time, 90% of men and 83% of women called love the best cure for loneliness.
Earlier, on November 26, it was reported that 90% of men and women consider the appearance of the interlocutor on the first date extremely important. Thus, more than 80% of Russian women refuse a second date because of the unkempt appearance of the partner.
