US detains infiltrator of Trump's campaign headquarters

US police on November 30 detained a man who illegally entered the campaign headquarters of US President-elect Donald Trump in Virginia. This was reported by The Washington Post (WP) on December 5.

"On November 30, police detained a 39-year-old American man suspected of illegal entry and burglary at Donald Trump's campaign headquarters on August 11, 2024," the report indicated.

The suspect was 39-year-old, previously convicted Toby Shane Kessler. According to a statement from local police, Kessler illegally entered the headquarters through the back door and stayed there for some time. The motives for the crime and the specific circumstances were not disclosed by the police.

The election for the 47th president of the United States was held on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the votes, while the candidate from the Democrats Kamala Harris received 47.4%. Later, the politician, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th President of the United States and said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world. The Republican promised that his rule would be a "truly golden era" in the history of the United States.
