Khusnullin proposed to increase the limit on family mortgages

The limit of the state program "Family Mortgage" should be increased, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said on December 5.

"It is necessary to increase it, I believe. If there is a financial opportunity to increase, all these issues will be removed," he said in a conversation with TASS.

He reminded that the issue of mortgage issuance is supervised by the Ministry of Finance. According to Khusnullin, at the moment it is making calculations in search of a possibility to increase the limit.

Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin called for honest reporting of limits on family mortgages. He noted that the presence of these limits is not told in advance.

Prior to this, on November 28, deputies of the State Duma appealed to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with a request to increase the size of the loan on the family mortgage. Deputy Chairman of the Financial Market Committee Arkady Svistunov told Izvestia that it would be logical to increase it for all regions for apartments with an area of more than 60 square meters. m.

The family mortgage program was extended in the summer until 2030. In particular, it applies to families with children, where there is at least one child under the age of six.
