Increasing the number of large families is a priority of the new national project "Family". This was announced by Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin on December 5.

He said that more than 17 trillion rubles from the federal budget until 2030 are allocated for the implementation of this project.

"In it we combine new existing measures to support parents with children. The emphasis is on the fact that more large families appeared in Russia," - said the chairman of the government at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects.

In addition, he added that the formation of quality infrastructure will continue, especially in rural areas, including to improve the quality of medical care for those who planned to have a child, pregnant women and children.

Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that in 2025 it is necessary to create the conditions for turning the demographic situation in Russia around. According to him, family support should become the most important direction of the government's work in the coming year. He also pointed out the need to address the problems of families with children within the framework of national projects.

Before that, on September 24, to the head of the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov appealed to the first Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education Yana Lantratova and the head of the faction "Just Russia - For Truth" Sergei Mironov with a request to assign in the regions of the Russian Federation with low birth rates to families with children on 1 million rubles to repay the mortgage.

The document, which is at the disposal of Izvestiya, states that measures aimed at supporting large families with three or more children have the greatest potential to improve the demographic situation.
