Four civilians were injured as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of the town of Shebekino in Belgorod Region. This was reported by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov on December 5.

According to him, four injured men with shrapnel wounds to the head, back, arms, legs, as well as craniocerebral injuries were hospitalized. They are being provided with all the necessary assistance.

In addition, in his message in his Telegram channel, he added that eight private houses in the city were damaged, their windows were blown out, roofs and facades were cut, a power line and a gas pipeline were broken at one of the sites. Gladkov also reported one damaged car.

Earlier in the day it was reported that as a result of the AFU drone attack in Belgorod region in the village of Politotdelsky a car caught fire, and two more cars were damaged after an FPV drone attack. In addition, as Gladkov pointed out, a passenger car also caught fire in the village of Gruzskoye; the fire was extinguished by Emergencies Ministry personnel.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
