- Putin noted the impact of what is happening in the special operation zone on the future of Russia

What happens on the line of contact will determine Russia's future for years to come. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects on December 5.
"To a large extent, what we have happening on the line of contact, on the front, will determine the life of our country for many years to come, and maybe for decades," Putin said.
He then asked Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev to speak about the situation with the development of unmanned aerial aviation.
He noted that UAVs are produced on the battle line and immediately used. Putin said he was both surprised and delighted by this. He said it proves that the Russian Federation has created an environment that generates such trained and courageous specialists.
"But if we reduce the indicators of this environment, if we accept that in a much smaller number of subjects the appropriate conditions will be created, if we train fewer specialists, then both in the civilian sphere and in the sphere of ensuring the security of the state, we will not solve the tasks that are being solved today with the help of drones," Putin said and passed the floor to Savelyev.
In his turn, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation reported to Putin that within the framework of the national project "Unmanned Aviation Systems" a new industry is actually being created, many regulatory documents are being adopted that will allow the use of unmanned vehicles in the civil sphere.
According to him, at the moment there is also a search for extra-budgetary sources for the development of production of unmanned aviation systems.
Earlier, on November 28, the Russian president said that the Russian Federation is thinking about designating unmanned aerial vehicles as a separate type of troops. At the time, he pointed out that drones are used equally actively in the conflict on both sides.
On the same day, during a session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Astana, Putin said that the Russian military, unlike the Ukrainian military, understand perfectly well what they are fighting and shedding blood for. They, he emphasized, are fighting for their homeland, the future of the country and their children.
Later, on November 21, Putin said that Russian troops were successfully advancing along the entire line of contact in special operations and that supplies of long-range missiles to Kiev would not affect this in any way. The head of state assured that all the tasks of the special operation set by Russia would be successfully accomplished.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
