The coming year of 2025 will be a key year for Russia's technological development. This statement was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 5.

"The coming year will be key for launching a new stage of technological development of our country," he said at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects in the Kremlin.

Putin noted that the government discussed the topic of ensuring Russia's technological leadership in a very substantive way. The head of state emphasized that it is necessary to achieve global competitiveness of its solutions in this area and to enter the international arena with them.

According to him, the current national projects lack such systemic tasks.

Afterwards, on November 27, President of the National Research Center (NRC) "Kurchatov Institute" Mikhail Kovalchuk said Mikhail Kovalchuk told Izvestia that the creation of a unified scientific and technological space of the Union State and similar cooperation between the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is very important at the moment.
