Patrushev spoke about the possibility of Russia avoiding a ban on caviar exports

Russia will be able to avoid a ban on the export of red caviar. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev on December 5.
He noted that the export ban should be used if a caviar deficit is allowed.
"Let's see, I think we will avoid this kind of mechanism," the deputy prime minister told TASS.
At the same time, Patrushev added that there will be no shortage of caviar in the country, but due to the fact that this year was not a good salmon poutine, the price of the product may be slightly higher than usual.
Earlier, on December 26, the founder of the network of stores "Ikorny" Evgeny Shuvalov said that in Russia in December, no additional increase in caviar prices is expected. The expert specified that earlier prices increased due to weak catches of salmon in the Far East during the 2024 salmon poutine season, as well as due to the increase in the cost of expenses of fishmongers and producers.
