Patrushev says imported butter will soon appear in Russia


Imported butter will soon appear on Russian shelves. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev on December 5.
"The EAEU (meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. - Ed.) has already made a decision. Accordingly, import purchases are already underway now. It should appear soon on the shelves," TASS quoted him as saying.
Patrushev noted that domestically produced butter is ahead of its imported counterparts in terms of quality. At the same time, its price may be slightly higher due to the dollar exchange rate, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister said.
Earlier, on November 14, Patrushev, inspecting agricultural enterprises of the Leningrad Region in the presence of St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov, said that the demand for dairy products is seriously growing in Russia and one of the topical positions is butter.
