Nine people became victims of ice in St. Petersburg

Nine people were injured in different districts of St. Petersburg in the past 24 hours due to the formed ice. Most of the injured are pensioners, reports TV channel "78" on Friday, December 5.

Five elderly women were taken to hospitals. For example, 68-year-old St. Petersburg woman fell near the subway "Ozerki" and received a fracture of the neck of the left humerus with displacement of debris.

Another 76-year-old pensioner slipped at the corner of Siqueiros and Artists. She was diagnosed with a closed fracture of the left humerus.

Men also became victims of ice. A 55-year-old citizen who fell near his house was brought to the hospital. The man earned a closed fracture of both ankles, his condition is assessed as medium severity.

In addition to fractures, residents of the Northern Capital not infrequently injured their heads. So, a 23-year-old young man fell on Parashyutnaya Street and received a closed craniocerebral injury with concussion.

Earlier in December it was reported that in Kolpino district of St. Petersburg on a one-and-a-half-year-old child fell plastic sign in a store of children's goods. The victim was diagnosed with soft tissue bruising.
