Gurbanov, guilty of fraud with "Pushkin Card", will not appeal the verdict


Entrepreneur Emil Gurbanov, found guilty in the case of embezzlement in the implementation of the federal program "Pushkin Card," will not appeal the verdict. This was stated by his lawyer to journalists on December 5, reports the correspondent of "Izvestia."
Earlier in the day, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow passed sentences in the case. In particular, Gurbanov was sentenced to four years of general regime colony, taking into account the time of detention in the pre-trial detention center (from November 30, 2022) at the rate of a day for a day and a half.
The other defendants - individual entrepreneur Viktor Yakubov and MGIMO student Ilya Safonov - were sentenced by the court to six and five years of general regime colony respectively, also taking into account the time of detention in pre-trial detention.
According to the official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia Svetlana Petrenko, the attackers stole more than 205 million rubles of budgetary funds and funds of JSC "Post Bank". The property of the defendants worth more than 110 million rubles was seized, which, as the court ruled, will remain in force until the verdict enters into legal force. The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation has recovered Br180 million in compensation for material damage, while the claim of JSC "Post Bank" - Br22.8 million.
Earlier, November 19, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Kaliningrad region reported that a 21-year-old resident of the region is accused of embezzling 13 million rubles of budgetary funds for the "Pushkin card". The defendant registered five IEs on the platform "RRO.Culture.RF" and posted information about conducting excursions in the region. The defendant has been detained, the investigation of his crime continues.
