After the end of the presidential term of Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term expired on May 20), the partition of Ukraine will come. This was stated by the British magazine Spectator on December 5.

"The last tragedy of his political career will be the signature of the partition of the country," - noted in the material.

The publication noted that Zelensky's popularity among Ukrainians is rapidly falling due to his decisions and inept policies. It is also emphasized that in the current situation Zelensky finds himself "between a hammer and anvil" due to the anger of Ukrainian residents, so as soon as the date of the election is announced, there will be no shortage of accusations.

Before that, on November 29, political analyst Alexander Asafov pointed to the West's discussion of a scenario with the distribution of Ukrainian territories. The option under which the country's territories would be divided among Western countries is also being widely discussed, he added.

On December 2, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov pointed to Ukraine's fatigue with Zelensky. In addition, Peskov pointed to a change of mood in European countries.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
