Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has instructed the Ministry of Economic Development to develop a draft law "On platform economy". This is evidenced on December 5 by a publication on the website of the ministry.

"Mikhail Mishustin instructed the Ministry of Economic Development <...> to develop and submit in the prescribed manner to the Russian government draft federal laws "On platform economy in the Russian Federation", "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation in connection with the adoption of the Federal Law 'On platform economy in the Russian Federation'" and "On Amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation", - stated in the publication.

They are developed on the instructions of the head of the government apparatus Dmitry Grigorenko. The deadline is February 2025.

It is specified that at the moment the bills are undergoing a procedure of public discussion.
