Russian air defense forces shot down 101 drones in 24 hours

Russian air defenses have destroyed 101 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the past 24 hours. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 5.

"Air defense means shot down two rockets of the HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system manufactured by the United States and 101 unmanned aerial vehicles of the aircraft type," the ministry said in a statement.

It is also noted that 283 helicopters, 649 airplanes were destroyed during the entire time of the special military operation, and the total number of destroyed enemy drones amounted to 37 thousand.

The enemy has obtained unmanned aerial vehicles that are not affected by electronic warfare equipment

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry reported that 16 AFU drones were intercepted overnight over the territories of the Bryansk, Belgorod and Kursk regions by air defense means.

The armed forces of Ukraine are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
