A tiger mauled several dogs in the village of Barabash, Primorsky Krai. This was reported to Izvestia by a local resident on Thursday, December 5.

According to the woman, the presence of the tiger was noticed on December 2, when footprints became visible in the snow. How long the animal has actually been walking around the village is unknown.

"Two days ago, I go out at night, I only had time to see him and my dog leaving. The village is small, we live on the outskirts, 300 meters from us is a kindergarten, 500 meters - school, two-storey, three-storey, houses on the ground. We also have cattle. He passed by us and went deep into the village, went through the vegetable gardens, took off the dog, went through other vegetable gardens. And that's how he goes along the main street, you can count," she said.

The interlocutor added that the Okhotnadzor employee only took a few photos and left, while the law enforcers advised locals not to leave their homes. Residents cannot protect themselves, as it is a red-listed animal.

The woman also admitted that not one tiger, but two adults and one tiger cub could have entered the village.

Earlier, on November 21, it was reported that in Khabarovsk Krai a man died in the taiga after a tiger attacked him. An inspection was organized on the fact of the incident.
