The Ufa district administration commented on the scandal with the cut down spruce tree

A resident of Demsky district of Ufa accused the local administration of cutting down a fir tree she had planted 20 years ago in honor of her daughter's birth and installing it on a square in the park. A representative of the authorities told Izvestia on December 5 that the local residents themselves asked to cut down the tree for safety reasons, as it was growing in the protection zone of the gas pipeline.

The interlocutor emphasized that the administration had nothing to do with the tree, the spruce was cut down by the management company. In addition, the man said that the citizen allegedly is not a resident of the house he is talking about.

"This fir tree grew in the protection zone of the gas pipeline. The management company has a corresponding order from the gas engineers of the company on this (log. - Ed.). In addition, they have a statement from the residents of the house. In order not to dispose of it (the tree. - Ed.), it was possible to install it and use it in the future for the joy of children. The management company installed [the tree] on the square where the Christmas tree is installed every year," said the representative of the administration.

When asked whether the management company had coordinated the cutting of the tree with the residents, the interlocutor answered in the affirmative, adding that "coordination from the residents was not required in general," as the territory where the tree was growing is not their property.

"That is, it is not the territory of the owners of the said plots, but the residents were notified, that is, they were not against it. The complainant who addressed refers to the fact that the Christmas tree was allegedly planted by her. The tree is older than her (the applicant. - Ed.) twice. That is, she could not have planted it in the first place. Secondly, she (the applicant. - Ed.) has no documents for the land plot", - said the interlocutor.

At the same time, Irina, the daughter of the owner of the plot on which this spruce tree was growing, in a conversation with Izvestia pointed out that the tree was located next to their house, and the administration has never taken care of the adjacent territory.

"Old houses, barracks, the administration has not cared about us all our lives. We have no playgrounds, no asphalted roads, no central sewage system, they say: 'All by ourselves, let's do it all by ourselves'," the woman claims.

Earlier, on November 28, it was reported that in Krasnoyarsk Krai strengthened the protection of young coniferous trees in connection with the upcoming New Year holidays. From mid-December there will be raids on Christmas tree bazaars. Forest inspectors, in particular, will check the documents authorizing the trade in trees.
