Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. The Defense Ministry reported that the servicemen of the Dnipro group of forces hit the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) personnel and equipment and two brigades of theater defense in the areas of Novodanilovka, Novoandreyevka, Shcherbaki in Zaporizhzhya region and the city of Kherson.

In this direction, the enemy lost up to 45 military and two vehicles, the department added.

Also units of the group of troops "East" destroyed two German Leopard tanks in the special operation zone. The losses of the AFU in the area of responsibility of this group amounted to up to 210 militants.

In addition, the air defense forces destroyed two US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 101 aircraft-type UAVs .

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 649 planes, 283 helicopters, 37,284 drones, 586 anti-aircraft missile systems, 19,630 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,497 MLRSs, 19,032 field artillery and mortars, 29,003 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
