More than 200 thousand tons of "winter" reagents were purchased for federal highways

Avtodor has stocked 230,000 tons of pure chloride and 296,000 tons of sand and salt mixture for the maintenance of the Avtodor road network this winter, Avtodor Chairman of the Board Vyacheslav Petushenko told Izvestia.

According to him, to ensure safe passage on the road network, a whole range of measures are being carried out, including the preparation of special equipment and materials for road surface treatment.

"The park of special road equipment for cleaning of highways from snow and ice includes more than 1.6 thousand units, including combined machines. The machinery leaves to clean the pavement taking into account the data that comes from integrated automatic road weather stations and video cameras. Thanks to this monitoring system, the processing of highways begins in advance - before the snowfall," Petushenko said.
