The head of "Avtodor" told how the roads in the Moscow region will be unloaded for dacha dwellers

A new section will appear on the Central Ring Road (CRR) at the end of 2024, which will improve transportation accessibility in Odintsovo, Zvenigorod, Golitsyno, Istra and Kubinka. This was told in an interview with "Izvestia" by the Chairman of the Board of the state company "Avtodor" Vyacheslav Petushenko.

According to him, the opening of this small section will eliminate the intersection of the highway with the railroad tracks of the Smolensk direction.

"There is a very high intensity of traffic here: during rush hour trains run with an interval of 2-3 minutes," explained Vyacheslav Petushenko. - This creates serious problems for motorists, especially during the summer season".

Thanks to the opening of the overpass over the railroad, drivers will no longer lose time waiting for trains to pass. Today the construction readiness of the object is about 90%.

The Central Ring Road is located in the Moscow region. It has become the basis of the backbone network of high-speed highways in Russia and a part of international transportation corridors. With the help of the Central Ring Road, the Moscow Ring Road and the road network of the Moscow region are relieved of transit traffic.
