Russian Defense Ministry shows footage of Soyuz-2.1b launch from Plesetsk Cosmodrome

The Soyuz-2.1b medium-class launch vehicle was launched from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk Region. The video of the launch was published on Thursday, December 5, by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The footage shows the rocket located on the launch pad. After a while, the Soyuz-2.1b took off, leaving behind a plume of fire.

Thelaunch of the Soyuz-2.1b rocket took place on Wednesday, December 4, from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome. The launch was made at 20:59 Moscow time.

Before that, on October 31, the Russian Air and Space Forces carried out a launch of a Soyuz-2.1a rocket with a military satellite from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome. It was noted that this launch was carried out in the interests of the Ministry of Defense.
