Strategic Partnership Treaty between Russia and the DPRK is open-ended

The treaty between Russia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on strategic partnership is indefinite. The relevant document entered into force the day before. On December 5, it was posted on the site of official publication of legal acts.
It is specified that the states, taking into account the legislation, maintain and develop relations of comprehensive strategic partnership on a permanent basis.
"In case one of the parties is subjected to an armed attack by any state or several states and thus finds itself in a state of war, the other party will immediately provide military and other assistance by all means at its disposal," the document says.
The countries agreed to strengthen tactical and strategic cooperation in order to achieve global stability. In addition, the Russian Federation and the DPRK are going to counter disinformation in the international media space.
On December 4 in Moscow, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko and his DPRK counterpart Kim Jong-gyu signed a protocol on the exchange of ratification certificates. In accordance with the text of the treaty, it comes into force from that moment. It was noted that on the basis of the new treaty the relations of the parties will guarantee international strategic stability and accelerate the formation of a fair multipolar world order.
Later, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the entry into force of the treaty would help develop bilateral cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang. It was specified that the treaty would contribute to stabilizing the situation and building a system of indivisible security in Northeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region (APR).
