The State Duma has proposed toughening the punishment for auto forgers

The State Duma has proposed that auto framing should be made an independent type of crime with a penalty of imprisonment for up to four years. The bill has been prepared and will soon be submitted to the lower house of parliament. This was reported on December 5 in his Telegram-channel by the head of the Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Yaroslav Nilov (LDPR).

As explained by the parliamentarian, now in case of exposing the auto forgers are tried under the usual "fraudulent" article. However, their actions are related to extortion, threats to the life and health of victims, gross violations of traffic rules and damage to the property of citizens.

"Auto forgers, like most fraudsters, are resourceful, brazen and assertive. In the media regularly appear data about new schemes of "divorce" law-abiding car owners for money almost all over the country," - said Nilov.
