- Sechin read out Vladimir Putin's greetings to the participants of the Verona Eurasian Economic Forum

The Verona Eurasian Economic Forum kicked off in the United Arab Emirates on December 5. Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed the participants of the event. A message from him was read out by Igor Sechin, head of Rosneft.
The Russian leader noted that the geography of the forum continues to expand: this year it is held for the first time in the UAE, "in the ancient and beautiful city of Ras al-Khaimah".
According to the head of state, the theme of the current forum - "A New Architecture of Cooperation for Modern Economy" - fully reflects the growing demand for transforming the system of international economic relations in the interests of the world community.
"It is obvious that the outdated model, which gives unilateral advantages to a small group of countries, should be replaced by a new one - based on true equality, justice and consideration of each other's legitimate interests, excluding any form of discrimination, diktat and sanctions pressure," Vladimir Putin emphasized in his greeting.
He added that such principles of cooperation underlie the BRICS activities and more and more members of the international community are in favor of them. In conclusion, the Head of State wished the participants constructive discussions and success.
The International Verona Eurasian Economic Forum is being held in Ras Al Khaimah from December 5 to 6. It is attended by representatives of government agencies and big business, scientists and experts of the Eurasian region.
