Suspect in the murder of two people in Nizhny Novgorod region detained

Law enforcement agencies detained a local resident, who is suspected of murder and robbery of an elderly man and woman in the apartment of a house in Sarov, Nizhny Novgorod region. This was reported by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (ICRF) in the region on December 5.

It is specified that the suspect is 29 years old. At the moment the involvement of the man in the commission of the crime is being checked.

"At present, the investigators of the IC are carrying out a set of investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the Department.

About the murder of pensioners in the Nizhny Novgorod region became known on December 4. The man was found to have stab wounds, and the woman was decapitated. On the fact of the incident opened a criminal case under part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of two persons").
