Air defense forces eliminated 16 Ukrainian UAVs overnight over three Russian regions

Anti-aircraft harrowing forces (Air Defense Forces) have destroyed and intercepted 16 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in three regions of Russia overnight. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 5.

"Air defense forces on duty intercepted and destroyed 16 Ukrainian drones: 14 UAVs - over the territory of the Bryansk region and one each - over the territories of the Belgorod and Kursk regions", - stated in a message in the Telegram-channel.

Earlier in the day, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported the destruction of nine Ukrainian UAVs in the region. He specified that as a result of the attacks no one was injured and there was no destruction. Emergency services are working on the site.

The armed forces of Ukraine are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
