"Readings of Victory" were held at Mayakovskaya metro station in Moscow

In Moscow at the Mayakovskaya subway station held "Readings of Victory". Images of the event on December 5 published "Izvestia".

On the night of December 5 in the capital as part of the cultural program of the International Forum for Civic Participation "#MYAVMESTE" was held an event timed to the beginning of the Red Army counteroffensive near Moscow in 1941. In addition, two themed trains of the Moscow Metro "Museum of Victory" and "The feat of the people" were installed on the station platforms.

"Today the event we are at says that we should remember our past, and our guidelines should be primarily focused on domestic values, traditions and holidays should be celebrated in this direction," actress and TV presenter Anastasia Makeeva-Malkova shared with Izvestia.

Her husband, businessman Roman Malkov, noted that holidays have always helped consolidate the people. He also pointed to initiatives taken by Russian President Vladimir Putin to "revive the cult of family and love for one's Motherland."

"Because the Motherland is a mother, and we are her children. And it is simply impossible not to love your mother," he emphasized.

On the stage performed entertainers, theater and cinema, and the guests of the event were students of Moscow universities, leaders and activists of volunteer organizations (including the active VOD "Victory Volunteers"), foundations and socially oriented non-profit organizations, participants of humanitarian missions.

500 thousand volunteers will be involved in the events of the anniversary, its logo is based on the image of the monument "Motherland Calls!"

Earlier, on December 4, the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin said that within the framework of the project "Winter in Moscow" in the film park "Moskino" will show a historical reconstruction dedicated to the battle for Moscow. Participants of the event will be able to get acquainted with the history of the filming process. Cinematography experts will tell about the actors of the films, how films about the events of the Great Patriotic War were shot.
