Residential houses and cars were damaged in Belgorod Region as a result of Ukrainian drone attacks. This was reported by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov on December 5.
"Immediately three settlements were attacked by AFU drones. Preliminarily, there are no casualties. Information on the consequences is being clarified," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Gladkov noted that in the town of Shebekino, as a result of the attacks, windows were broken in houses and a flight of stairs in one of the entrances was damaged. In addition, three passenger cars and a Gazelle caught fire.
In the village of Politotdelsky, a car caught fire after a UAV dropped an explosive device, and two more cars were damaged after an FPV drone attack. In addition, as the governor pointed out, a passenger car also caught fire in the village of Gruzskoye, the fire was extinguished by EMERCOM employees.
Earlier, on December 4, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense means shot down a Ukrainian drone over the Belgorod region. An attempted attack by the Kiev regime using an airplane-type drone was foiled at about 16:00 Moscow time.
On the same day, two civilians in Shebekino, Belgorod Region, were injured as a result of attacks by AFU drones. In addition, cars and a commercial building were damaged. The injured were given the necessary assistance, said the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov.
The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
