Families with low incomes may organize a one-time payment within the framework of the "New Year's Family Budget". This was reported on December 5 "RIA Novosti" with reference to the document of the proposal.

"Under the mechanism of reallocation of budget allocations, part of the unspent funds of the federal budget at the end of 2024 can be directed to a one-time payment of 10 thousand rubles to families with children, whose income per household member is below the subsistence minimum, single parents and single pensioners", - stated in the text.

It is specified that this proposal was put forward by Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Boris Chernyshov. He noted that such payments can be organized from unspent funds, which are returned to the federal budget every year. According to him, a similar mechanism of financial support has already been applied in 2020-2022 during the coronavirus pandemic.

"The New Year is first and foremost a family holiday, but for many it becomes a period of financial hardship. With rising prices, even basic holiday preparations become a challenge for low-income families, single parents and pensioners. The additional payment will allow citizens not only to set a festive table, but also to give gifts to children," he said.

Earlier, on December 1, the general director of the professional legal group AID, lawyer David Adams told "Izvestia" that from 2025 Russian pensioners will be able to count on positive changes in their financial support due to innovations in the pension system and expansion of social benefits. One of the main changes will be the indexation of insurance pensions by 7.3%.
