Variable cloudiness, predominantly without precipitation, icy conditions and cooling down to -4 degrees - such weather expects residents of the capital region on Thursday, December 5. The corresponding forecast is published on the website of the Hydrometeorological Center.

The air temperature in Moscow during the day will vary from -4 to -2 degrees. At night, the thermometer columns will drop to -7.

In Moscow region during the day forecasters promise from -6 to -1 degrees, at night the temperature may fall to -9.

A northeast wind with a speed of 4-9 m/s is expected.

Atmospheric pressure will be 764-765 mm of mercury column.

On the eve, December 4, the head of the Situation Center of Roshydromet Yuri Varakin said that the air temperature in Moscow and the Moscow region in the first days of December exceeds the climatic norm by four degrees. The specialist noted that the temperature indicators will come to the norm from December 5 to 8. Negative temperatures are predicted both in the daytime and at night. Precipitation is not expected, but there will be wind and light snow. Starting December 5, heavy icy conditions are expected.

Earlier, December 3, the scientific head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand said that the coming winter on the territory of the Russian Federation promises to be variable and heterogeneous. The forecaster noted that in Siberia, especially in the northern part, the winter weather will be 5-10 degrees above normal.
