The Msta-S howitzer destroyed an AFU stronghold and equipment in the SSO zone

An artillery crew of the Msta-S self-propelled howitzer of the Vostok group of troops has destroyed a stronghold and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) militants in the zone of the special military operation (SMO). This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on December 5.

"We work mainly on infantry. We dismantle strongholds very well, armored vehicles. This gun is very accurate," said a senior gunner with the call sign Akhmet.

Thanks to the coordinated work of the Russian artillerymen it was possible to ensure the advance of the assault groups into enemy territory.

The Msta-S howitzer is capable of hitting targets at a distance of over 30 kilometers. It operates from a closed position and due to its high range can hit targets behind enemy lines.

Russian artillerymen destroy enemy points, equipment and personnel of the AFU fighters on a daily basis. This helps the attackers to successfully occupy new territories.

Earlier, on December 4, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the calculations of self-propelled artillery units (SAU) "Akatsiya" of the group of troops "West" destroyed a camouflaged platoon stronghold with personnel and armored vehicles of the AFU in the area of the SSO.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made in connection with the aggravation of the situation in the region.
