Famous nutritionist, TV and radio host Alexei Kovalkov died at the age of 63 after two years of fighting cancer. This is reported by RBC with reference to a source in his inner circle.

"Kovalkov for the past two years fought with cancer," - stated in the publication.

The nutritionist was born on April 19, 1962 in Moscow. He graduated from the medical faculty of the 2nd Moscow Order of Lenin State Medical Institute named after N.I. Pirogov (now Pirogov RNIMU) and in 2006 retrained in the field of dietetics. One of his most popular works was a special method of weight loss, thanks to which Kovalkov himself was able to lose 80 kg in just seven months.

In addition, Kovalkov wrote the book "How to lose weight: a strategy to win over weight" and was the host of the program "Family Size" on the TV channel "Domashniy", as well as a YouTube channel. In April 2010, the nutritionist was ranked third on Forbes magazine's list of the most sought-after nutritionists in Moscow.
