Winter crops have ripened on 2 million hectares in Stavropol Krai

Winter crops have sprouted on an area of 2 million hectares in the Stavropol Territory. Specialists are satisfied with the condition of the crops, with the onset of cold weather they are monitored on a daily basis. This was told by the head of the region Vladimir Vladimirov in his social networks on Wednesday, December 4.
"The condition of the grain wedge is characterized as good and satisfactory and exceeds the indicators of last year. Meanwhile, agrarians are stockpiling seeds, mineral fertilizers, preparing machinery for next year's field work," the governor wrote.
According to him, the regional authorities are doing everything possible to ensure that Stavropolye will have a decent harvest in 2025. The sowing campaign should begin already in the first "February windows", writes IA StavropolMedia.
Earlier "Izvestia" wrote that Russia may impose a ban on the import of sunflower seeds and corn from unfriendly countries. The current import quota turned out to be unselected, besides, domestic seeds of these crops have shown decent yield results.
