Zelensky announced sanctions against the Georgian authorities

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whose term of office expired on 20 May, said that he was preparing sanctions against the Georgian authorities for dispersing protesters. He wrote about this on December 4 in his Telegram channel.
"We are developing our legal response and working with European and other partners on concrete actions. I gave instructions to prepare appropriate decisions on sanctions," Zelensky said and added that the Georgian authorities were "pushing the country into obvious dependence on Russia."
At the same time, he did not specify what kind of measures we are talking about.
Protests have been going on for several days in Georgia over the suspension of European integration talks and the opposition's disagreement with the results of parliamentary elections. Kobakhidze made a statement the day before that another attempt to organize a revolution in the country based on the scenario of the Ukrainian Maidan had failed.
Earlier, on December 2, Georgian security forces were forced to use tear gas to disperse demonstrators in the center of Tbilisi. On November 30, protesters tried to set fire to the Georgian parliament building and damaged dozens of offices.
Amid these events, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili refused to step down when her term expires at the end of December. In response, Kobakhidze warned that she would be required by law to leave office.
