Aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chairman of the Maritime Board Nikolai Patrushev has visited the St. Petersburg State Maritime Technical University (SPbSMTU "Korabelka"). This was reported on Wednesday, December 4, by the press service of the university in Telegram-channel.
It is noted that Patrushev toured Korabelka's facilities under construction, including the scientific and production building, ice arena and student dormitory.
"The event was attended by St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov, Chairman of the Committee for Science and Higher Education Andrei Maximov, Rector of St. Petersburg State Medical University Gleb Turichin", - stated in the message.
On the same day Patrushev said that the Sredne-Nevsky shipyard in St. Petersburg is the leader in Russia in the field of composite shipbuilding.
The Russian presidential aide also visited the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute (AARI) in St. Petersburg. During the visit he drew attention to the importance of increasing the accuracy of ice situation forecasts in the Arctic for the safety of the Northern Sea Route.
