South Korea's ruling party to vote against impeaching president


South Korea's ruling presidential party "Civil Force" has decided to vote against impeachment of the country's president Yun Seok-yol. This was reported by Yonhap News Agency on December 4.
"The ruling party approved the party line to vote against impeaching President Yoon at a general meeting of lawmakers," the agency noted.
Earlier, South Korea's six opposition parties filed a motion to impeach President Yun Seok-yol after he declared and then lifted martial law in the country.
Parliament's vote to impeach South Korea's president will be held on Dec. 6-7.
Prior to that, on December 4, South Korea's opposition parties began impeachment proceedings against the republic's President Yun Seok-yol. This was reported by Yonhap agency on December 4. Six parties (Democratic Party of Korea, Party of Domestic Innovation, New Reform Party, Progressive Party, Basic Income Party and Social Democratic Party) submitted the impeachment project to the Parliament. A total of 191 people participated in the filing.
