A courier of telephone scammers was detained in Mytishchi, Moscow region

In Mytishchi (Moscow region), a man suspected of participating in a telephone fraud has been detained. He took 600 thousand rubles from a woman.

According to the 59-year-old victim, she received a call allegedly from an employee of law enforcement agencies. The interlocutor convinced the woman that there was a leak of her personal data, which jeopardized her savings. The local resident agreed to give the courier the money to credit them to a "safe" account. This is reported by the Internet edition of "Podmoskovye Segodnya".

Police managed to detain the courier, he turned out to be a 21-year-old native of the Stavropol region. The man is placed in custody.

In Moscow, fraudsters stole 24 million rubles from an 82-year-old pensioner. The elderly man sold an apartment and handed the bag with the money to the courier.
