AvtoVAZ has started pre-production of Lada Iskra

AvtoVAZ is already producing Lada Iskra cars for production debugging. Every day several cars come off the assembly line. This was reported by the head of the car company Maxim Sokolov.

"Today Lada Iskra is already produced in various body types. Every day several cars are coming off the assembly line in order to fine-tune production processes, assembly, welding and painting of this car," Sokolov said on the sidelines of the VTB forum "Russia Calling!", TASS reported on December 4.

The start of production is scheduled for the first half of 2025. As a rule, sales will start in 1.5-3 months from the start of car production, the top manager noted.

On November 15, the press service of AvtoVAZ reported that the start of production of Lada Iskra is scheduled for spring 2025. The new Lada Iskra in the model range of the brand will occupy a niche between the affordable Granta and more expensive Vesta. The model will be presented in sedan, station wagon and station wagon Cross. Iskra will get three varieties of powertrains.

On October 8, Vice President for Sales and Marketing Dmitry Kostromin reported that AvtoVAZ is studying the possibility of producing sporty versions of the Lada Iskra.
