Almost half of Russians surveyed named Olivier as the least tasty salad
In Russia, 45% of surveyed citizens would like to remove Olivier from the New Year's table, as they consider this salad to be the least tasty. This is stated in the results of a survey of the sushi and rolls delivery network "Plenty of Salmon", which were reviewed by "Izvestia" on December 5.
The second place among the least favorite dishes is occupied by herring under a fur coat, and the third -- cold cakes. They would be removed by 31% and 29% of respondents, respectively.
In addition, 44% of Russians start preparing for New Year in December, and 37% - a week before the holiday, and only 4% of respondents postpone preparations to the last moment, 2-3 days before the New Year.
At the same time, the majority of respondents consider raising a glass of sparkling wine under the chimes (71%) to be the most important tradition. Decorating the Christmas tree is in second place (67%). The importance of cooking holiday dishes is noted by only 28%.
Despite the fact that many Russians do not like traditional salads, the majority (89%) still serve them on the table. 64% prefer fish and seafood dishes. Caviar is considered the most popular delicacy, which decorates the holiday tables of 43% of families, experts noted.
The main New Year's drink remains champagne - it is chosen by 85% of Russians. Wine is preferred by 66%, and strong alcohol - 24%.
Earlier, December 2, it was reported that the association of major manufacturers Rusprodsoyuz calculated the cost of products for the New Year's table. In total, Russians will need at least Br8.1 thousand. This money will be spent on the necessary ingredients for traditional salads - herring under a fur coat and Olivier, sandwiches with red caviar and butter, chicken meat, cuts of cheese and raw smoked sausage, tangerines, champagne, as well as chocolates.
