Don enterprises signed supply contracts at the Food Africa 2024 exhibition

A number of contracts for the supply of agricultural products were signed by Rostov region entrepreneurs at the 9th annual exhibition "Food Africa 2024" held in Egypt, the press service of the regional government reported.

The Don region is represented at the exhibition by a collective exposition, where the products of 25 food producers from the Rostov region are exhibited.

Thus, during the exhibition, agreements were signed on the supply of buckwheat groats and red lentils between LLC PKF "Mayak" and the company "Energy Gate" (Arab Republic of Egypt), as well as on the supply of flax, coriander and peas between LLC "Agro Victoria" and the company "El Nasr Fo Import" (Arab Republic of Egypt). In addition, the exhibition included a meeting on the expansion of exports with the participation of the leadership of the Don Ministry of Agriculture and Food, representatives of the business community of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Rostov region.

"The share of African countries in the total volume of exports of agricultural products from the Rostov region is 31% in value terms. In general, to African countries in 2024 the volume of exports of AIC products amounted to 7.3 million tons for 1.9 billion US dollars. The main volume of exports to African countries falls on Egypt. Its share in value terms is 63%," said Konstantin Rachalovsky, Deputy Don Governor and Minister of Agriculture and Food.
