The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region has given advice on choosing quality mandarins. Thus, according to experts, the fruit should be orange or orange-red, without light and black spots. In addition, you should choose them by variety and flavor.

The ministry warned that if a tangerine is easily squashed with a finger, it indicates that the fruit is spoiled, Radio 1 reported on December 3.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food added that there is a wide range of tangerines on the shelves of stores, fairs and markets in the region. In November, according to the press service of the department, residents of the Moscow region bought an average of 773 kg of fruit per day. During the month, the region's stores sold 23 tons of apples, oranges, mandarins, kiwis and other fruits.

The agency also pointed out the benefits of tangerines: the use of vitamin C-rich fruit activates immune cells, helping the body to fight viruses and infections, ascorbic acid stimulates the synthesis of collagen, responsible for the health of bones, hair and nails.

On December 4, endocrinologist Anna Goncharova said that tangerines eaten uncontrollably can increase blood glucose levels, like any fruit. Therefore, the recommended dose at one time - two or three pieces, clarifies RIAMO.

December 2, nutritionist Natalia Kruglova said that all citrus fruits are equally useful in winter. According to her, in addition to vitamin C, citrus fruits also contain soluble and insoluble dietary fiber, which positively affect the intestinal microbiota. Bright color of fruits provides provitamin A, reports 360.ru.

On November 20, it became known that the tangerine cleaning contest will be held from January 2 to 8 in the Hermitage Garden, Vorontsovo Estate, Gorky Park and Sokolniki Park. As reported by NSN, participants will not just peel the main New Year's fruit - it will be necessary to do it in a single strip. The longer the peel will be, the better, notes the agency of city news "Moscow".

November 14, nutritionist Elena Solomatina in a conversation with "Moscow 24" told to whom the use of citrus fruits is contraindicated. According to her, sweet varieties, including mandarins and oranges, can be harmful to those who suffer from diabetes, GI problems and allergies, RT writes.

In January, allergists recommended eating no more than three tangerines a day. Cross food allergy to citrus fruits can occur if a person is allergic to ragweed and wormwood.
