Russia will not create special conditions for foreign companies to return to the country. This statement was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 4.

"Will we create conditions for those who want to return? We will not create special conditions. We have not pushed anyone out, we have not banned anyone. Our doors are open," he said at a plenary session of the VTB forum "Russia Calling!".

According to Putin, many niches vacated by the departure of Western brands are actively occupied by companies from other countries. In addition, he noted that in the course of this process, domestic brands have begun to develop rapidly.

The Russian leader said that in such conditions it would be difficult to go back, but the state will not create obstacles for this. He added that this is not a question of Russia, but "those political decisions that are made at the level of the European Commission and in individual countries."

On the eve of the senior director of consulting company CORE.XP Marina Malakhatko said that 13 more international brands may enter the Russian retail market. According to her, seven companies out of the total number are representatives of European countries. In addition, she noted that up to 25 new brands should be expected to appear on the market due to confidentiality in this matter.
