Putin reported Russian GDP growth of 4.1% from January to October

Russia's gross domestic product grew by 4.1% between January and October 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on December 4.
"Last year, Russia's gross domestic product grew by 3.6% - it is well known, and for January-October this year it increased by 4.1%. And the growth is mainly concentrated in manufacturing industries, in sectors with high added value," the head of state said at the plenary session of the VTB forum "Russia Calling!".
For 10 months, the Russian manufacturing industry grew by 8.1%, Putin pointed out. In particular, the automobile industry and machine-building demonstrate the outstripping rates.
At the same time, Russia is strengthening its technological, production and logistics potential, as well as ties with promising partners, the President noted.
Earlier, November 27, the Ministry of Economic Development reported about the growth of Russian GDP by 4.1% for 10 months of this year in the review of the economic situation. According to the agency's estimates, the figure grew by 3.2% in October.
Before that, on November 12, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin drew attention to the fact that the dynamics of the country's GDP growth significantly exceeds the same indicator of the countries that imposed anti-Russian sanctions. Such development should be continued, including by creating a supply-side economy, he emphasized.
