The DNR says the Russian Armed Forces have taken part of the Zaporizhzhya-Kurakhovo highway under fire control

The Russian Armed Forces (AF) have taken a large section of the Zaporizhzhya-Kurakhovo highway under fire control. This was reported by the adviser to the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR), Igor Kimakovsky, on December 4.

"Already took under control the highway Kurakhovo - Zaporozhye. Under fire control is already full," he said on the air of Channel One.

According to Kimakovsky, the southern direction is working from the northern bank of the Kurakhovo reservoir in order to displace the fighters of the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU).

Earlier, on November 25, it became known that the grouping of troops "South" of the Russian army continues the offensive on the city of Kurakhovo DNR, and also prepares a large cauldron for Ukrainian servicemen. It was specified that the situation around Kurakhovo is extremely unfavorable for the AFU.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
