The nuclear-powered strategic missile carrier "Prince Pozharsky" will be handed over to the Russian Navy in June 2025. This was announced on December 4 by the head of the All-Russian Fleet Support Movement Vladimir Maltsev during the general meeting of the Moscow city branch of the movement.

It is specified that the Project 955A strategic missile submarine cruiser (cipher Borei-A) was built at the Sevmash plant of the United Shipbuilding Corporation.

"It is planned that in June 2025 there will be a solemn ceremony of transferring the Prince Pozharsky to the Russian Navy," the TASS news agency reports Maltsev's words.

In 2022, the second serial nuclear-powered nuclear-powered submarine missile-carrying submarine of Project 955A (code name Borei-A) "Generalissimo Suvorov" joined the Russian Navy.

The Project 995A submarines have been significantly modernized in terms of noise reduction, improved maneuverability, and increased automation. There are no any imported materials and mechanisms in these vehicles. There are no analogs of such submarines in foreign fleets yet.
